Terms of service

By creating an account or using LawyerDesk services, you agree to these terms. If you're accepting on behalf of a firm or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of contracting. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure.

Firms may provision seats for their attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. Administrators are responsible for access management within their tenant.

You agree not to:

• Use LawyerDesk for unlawful purposes or to harm others.
• Reverse-engineer or copy our proprietary models or software.
• Circumvent rate limits, tenant isolation, or security controls.
• Upload content you do not have the right to process.
• Use outputs to impersonate counsel where unauthorized practice of law applies.

LawyerDesk generates drafts, research summaries, and other outputs using AI. These are starting points, not final work product. You must review, verify, and adapt outputs before acting on them or delivering them to a client.

We make no warranty that outputs will be free of errors or suitable for a particular matter. The professional responsibility for client advice remains with the attorney.

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Taxes are additional where applicable. Refunds are prorated for annual plans on cancellation and are not available for monthly plans.

We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing annual commitments are honored at the agreed rate until renewal.

Your content stays yours. You retain all rights to documents, matter data, and outputs you generate. You grant LawyerDesk a limited license to process this content solely to operate the service for you.

LawyerDesk retains ownership of the platform, models, and related intellectual property.

You may cancel at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach, non-payment, or legal requirement, with reasonable notice where feasible.

On termination, you can export your data for 30 days; after that, we delete it per our retention policy.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LawyerDesk is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or related to the service is capped at the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. These limitations do not apply to fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
